Lake City Columbia Community Tennis Association (LCCCTA)

The Lake City Columbia Community Tennis Association is a not-for-profit tennis organization made up of volunteers. They currently offer tennis summer camps and tennis clinics for kids interested in learning the game of tennis. Their plan for the future is to see a 24-court tennis facility built to both grow the game of tennis in Lake City and Columbia County, FL and to serve as a tournament facility hosting local, regional, and national tennis tournaments.

-2023-

The Lake City Columbia Community Tennis Association 2023 Fall Youth Tennis Camp was sponsored by YTF for the month of October. A terrific group of 30 young tennis athletes spent four weeks learning the great sport of tennis!

Thanks to Youth Tennis Foundation of Florida and a dedicated group of LCCCTA volunteers, the camp was a great success! Participants from 6 to 16 had fun learning new skills and sharpening their old ones.

Volunteers facilitating their progress included: Mike Null, Debbi Carter, Linda Williams, Tara Bell, Dolly Robinson, Joe Hinkle, and PTR Certified Instructor, Mark Mansbach.

-2021-

The LCCCTA has been hosting kids for Youth Team Tennis this year with great success! Kids of all ages are taking advantage of the sunshine and learning some tennis too. Keep an eye out for these future tennis stars!
The Lake City Columbia Community Tennis Association began a seven-week junior team tennis program on April 5, 2021 at the newly constructed tennis courts at Youngs Park. The event was sponsored by the Youth Tennis Foundation of Florida and was supported by members of LCCCTA, who volunteered more than 120 hours to assist USPTR teaching professional Mark Mansbach. Instruction was offered at no charge to 34 participants who ranged in ages 6-16 years old. Special thanks to LCCCTA members who volunteered: Mike Null, Linda Williams, Joe Hinkle, Laura Null, Marcia Kazmierski, Nelson Rivera, Noah Robeinson, and Dolly Robinson.

On December 29, 2020 new YTF Board Member and Secretary Linda Williams wrote in an email to all YTF Board Members,

"As board secretary for Lake City Columbia Community Tennis Association (LCCCTA) in Lake City, I am unable to adequately express our utmost appreciation to the YTF Board for providing generous donations to our CTA over the past several years!! The City of Lake City just completed construction of four new public tennis courts and LCCCTA held a "First Serve Opening Celebration" on Dec. 14, 2020. YTF recently donated a beautiful YTF logo windscreen, and in addition, provided a beautiful $5,000 portable building to be used as our tennis pro shop!

LCCCTA couldn't do any of this without the extremely generous support and encouragement of YTF board members, so on behalf of LCCCTA, I thank you so very much!"
